My secret santa this year is a wonderful mother who I adore. I wanted to make something meaningful and hopefully useful. So of course that meant a resin tray, since I already had all the supplies. I got some ideas online and elected on the outlines of bears in front of mountains. I had seen other people do a technique for animals where they used small pieces of paper as fur or feathers. This was the perfect project to try this!
The below pictures are in progress work before I poured resin over the tray.
As for the mountains, I didn't want them to take away from the bears so I did my best to do straight lines instead of the filigree and normal quilled objects. I was pleased to have multiple blue colors of paper, so I was able to fade the mountains into lighter blues in the background.
I really enjoyed this project and hope my secret santa loves it as well.
Below are additional images of the finished resin tray.
